Financial Aid Services

The services offered by college financial aid offices can vary, but here are some common services that our financial aid office offers:

1. Financial Aid Counseling:  Our financial aid office offers one-on-one counseling sessions to help students and their families understand the various types if financial aid available, how to apply for aid, and how to manage the costs of attending college.
2. Scholarship Information: Our financial aid office maintains information about scholarships available from the school, as well as external scholarships offered by organizations, businesses, and other entities.  We will help students identify and apply for these opportunities.
3. Grant and Loan Information: Our financial aid office provides information about federal, state, and institutional scholarships, as well as student loan options. We can help students understand the terms and conditions of different types of aid and the application processes. 
4. Assistance with Financial Aid Applications: Our financial aid office will assist students with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other required financial aid forms.
5. Financial Literacy Program: Our financial aid office offers workshops, resources, and counseling on budgeting, money management, and other financial literacy topics to help students make informative decisions about their finances.
6. Appeals Process: If a student’s financial circumstances change or if there are special circumstances that were not reflected on the initial financial aid application, the financial aid office could often help students navigate the appeals process to request a review of their aid package.
7. Verification Process Assistance: If a student’s FAFSA is selected for verification, the financial aid office can assist in providing the necessary documentation and completing the verification process.
8. Information about Veteran Benefits: For students who are veterans or dependents of veterans, the financial aid office may provide information about available benefits and assistance with navigating the application process.
9. Agencies Money: Our financial aid office will assist students who are applying for Occupational Vocational Rehabilitation and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
10. Emphasize Deadlines: We stress the importance of meeting FAFSA deadlines.  It is important students complete the FAFSA as early as possible.
